DEVILS CLAW CHAIN STOPPER

The Devils Claw Chain Stopper is a mechanical stopper positioned between the bow roller and windlass to hold the anchor chain securely under load, alleviating stress on the windlass when at anchor or underway.

It features robust paddles (often 316 stainless or 17 4PH steel) and is sized to exceed 125% of chain breaking strength. Available for chains from 14 mm to 22 mm and both horizontal and vertical configurations. Ocean Force is a leading Australian supplier of Devil’s Claw Chain Stopper.
