SUPERMAX (DYNEEMA) ®

SuperMax ropes are engineered from 100% Dyneema® SK78 UHMWPE fibres, offering exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, low elongation and high resistance to abrasion, UV and chemicals.

Available in 12-strand, heat-set 78 Plus, and double-braided D-Plus configurations, they deliver performance exceeding steel wire ropes at a fraction of the weight. Hydrophobic fibres ensure zero water absorption, while polyurethane coatings or HMPE covers enhance wear life and colour-coded identification. Designed for demanding marine, defence, towing and lifting applications, these ropes meet ISO, OCIMF and class approval standards for maximum operational reliability. Applications

  • Material: Dyneema® SK78 UHMWPE – high modulus, minimal creep.
  • Construction: 12-strand, heat-set (78 Plus), or double-braided with HMPE cover (D-Plus).
  • Strength: Up to 8x lighter than steel with higher MBL for same diameter.
  • Elongation: ~4–5% at break; minimal stretch under working load.
  • Resistance: Excellent against UV, chemicals and abrasion; floats on water (SG 0.97).
  • Temperature: Melting point ~150°C; avoid prolonged high-friction contact.
  • Finishes: PU-coated or colour-coded jackets for protection and identification.
